Introduce yourself and tell us what you do! 
I’m a passionate photographer, and capturing the beauty of the world through my lens is my greatest joy. Currently, I reside in Bali, a place that offers mesmerizing landscapes, and diverse cultures, which provide endless inspiration for my work.
Being a photographer allows me to combine my love for travel and visual storytelling. I have had the privilege of exploring various breathtaking locations around the globe, documenting the essence of different cultures and immersing myself in unique experiences. Through my photographs, I aim to evoke emotions, inspire wanderlust, and share the captivating stories that unfold during my journeys.

Aside from photography, meditation plays a significant role in my life. It allows me to find inner peace, cultivate mindfulness, and maintain a balanced mindset. The practice of meditation enhances my creativity, focus, and overall well-being, which in turn positively impacts my artistic expression as a photographer.
To complement my creative endeavors, I’m also passionate about maintaining an active lifestyle. Not only does it keeps me physically fit but also helps me stay mentally sharp and energized. I believe that a healthy body and mind are essential for my lifestyle.

Being a photographer, a mother and having the opportunity to live in Bali has truly enriched my life. It has provided me with a unique perspective, a deep appreciation for cultural diversity, and a profound connection with nature. I am continuously seeking new ways to grow as an artist, expand my portfolio, and use my skills to create meaningful visual narratives.

What are your non-negotiable morning rituals Before Life Happens?
In the mornings, my non-negotiable rituals include enjoying a cup of coffee, getting my kids ready for school, reading a chapter of a book, and practicing meditation. These practices help me start the day with energy, prioritize family, foster personal growth, and cultivate a focused mindset.

What inspired you to start Nordic Retreats? How is Nordic different from other retreats?
At Nordic Retreats, we were inspired to start based on our passion for connection, travel, the love of the ocean, and photography. Our unique and transformative retreat experience combines yoga, surfing, and photography. Participants have the opportunity to explore stunning landscapes and cultures while honing their photography skills and capturing moments with models. Our emphasis on fostering connections among like-minded creative women creates a supportive community where participants can share experiences and form lasting friendships. Nordic Retreats offers a fulfilling journey of personal growth, creativity, and a deep connection with nature.

How do you integrate self-care practices into your retreats, and what benefits do you see for guests?
Integrating self-care practices, such as yoga, journaling, and creative expression, at Nordic Retreats fosters well-being, self-discovery, and empowerment for guests. Our focus on connection over competition creates a supportive community of women, nurturing personal growth and lasting bonds.

How do you balance the creative and entrepreneurial aspects of your work, and what advice do you have for others trying to do the same?
Balancing the creative and entrepreneurial aspects of your work involves clarifying your goals, scheduling dedicated creative time, embracing experimentation and personal projects, collaborating with like-minded individuals, developing a business mindset, finding a balance between passion projects and commercial work, taking breaks and practicing self-care, and staying connected to your initial inspiration. Remember to prioritize your creative passion, seek business knowledge, and maintain a healthy balance to sustain a fulfilling creative career.

You've travelled to many beautiful and remote locations. Can you share a particular place that has left a lasting impression on you?
Norway, where my twin sister lives, has left a lasting impression on me due to its rural and remote beauty. The majestic landscapes make you feel at the edge of the world, while the tranquillity and quietness create a sense of peace. It is a place of breathtaking natural beauty that has deeply touched my heart and mind.

What are you excited to get into or do next, or what are you looking forward to this year?
I’m very excited to host two back-to-back retreats in Bali this September and October. Bali is a truly magical place known for its serene beauty and rich culture. I can't wait to create a transformative experience for participants in this tranquil setting, providing them with an opportunity to unwind, find inner peace, and connect with the essence of Bali. I look forward to sharing the unique beauty and spirituality of this island with retreat guests.

What other self-care practices do you have that support you in feeling your best?
Brushing my teeth with my favorite toothpaste in the world aka BEFORE! ;)
