How many times a day should I brush?

ADA recommends 2 times per day with a 1" inch strip. Or as directed by your health care practitioner.

Is your paste SLS free?

Yes, we replace farmful SLS with Cocamidopropyl Betaine. A foaming agent formulated naturally from coconut oil, this is what makes our toothpaste froth and provides a Pure brushing experience.

What are "Clean Ingredients"?

We worked for 2 years with the best labs in the USA to find incredible, clean alternatives to the chemicals placed in big pharma toothpaste. Things like fake flavour, fake colour, SLS, parabens and fillers. Our paste is clean, which you immeditalty taste. All while ensuring it WORKS. As well or better then paste on the market.

What % of hydroxyapatite is used in Before Toothpaste?

Before Toothpaste features nanoXIM hydroxyapatite, a high-quality ingredient made in Portugal. Scientifically proven to remineralize enamel and reduce sensitivity, it’s carefully formulated to prioritize performance over percentages. How does nano-hydroxyapatite work in toothpaste?

Nano-hydroxyapatite (n-HA) is a biomimetic ingredient that closely resembles the natural minerals in your teeth. It works by filling in microscopic cracks and imperfections in enamel, helping to remineralize and strengthen teeth while reducing sensitivity.

Why is Aloe in your paste?

High in antioxidants, aloe vera can help repair soft tissue cells, assist sensitivity, and fight gingivitis, gum infections, periodontitis and other oral irritations.

Is Before dentist approved?

Do you ship outside of USA and Canada?

We currently only ship to USA and Canada.

How can I change my payment method?

How do I place a return?

Before will gladly accept returns up to 30 days after purchase unless the item is marked as final sale. Email us at info@beforecompany.com to start your return.

How do I know where my subscription order is? How do I track my order?

An email confirmation will be sent with tracking information when your order ships.

When will my subscription be sent?

Your subscription will be sent on the frequency you have selected when checking out. This can be altered: My Account → Subscriptions → Manage Subscription.

How can I cancel my subscription?

You cancel your subscription at any time, however please note that if it is within 24 hours of your next billing date it is too late to cancel your next order. Therefore we will bill and ship your next order but every subsequent order after that will be cancelled. Go to My Account → Subscriptions → Manage Subscription → Cancel Subscription.

Can I pause my subscription?

Yes, you alter or skip shipments: Go to My Account → Subscriptions → Manage Subscription. Please note, if it is within 24 hours of your next billing date it is too late to pause your next order. Therefore, we will bill and ship your next order but every subsequent order after will be altered.

What are Before tubes made out of?

Our Plant Based tubes are made from sugarcane. Which creates a 50% reduction in CO2 emissions in the manufacturing process compared to fossil fuel based plastic.

What are Before boxes made out of?

Our boxes are made from FSC® certified paper stock. FSC® is paper that has been harvested in a responsible manner. Although FSC certified paper often contains recycled paper, it does not have to contain it to be certified. The primary requirement for certification is being harvested and produced in a responsible manner.

Are the plant-based tubes home compostable?

The plant-based tube is not home-compostable. Although it's organic and won't pollute, it needs to be recycled. It's the best way to break down the material, re-use and continue to store carbon.

What happens if my tube ends up in the landfill?

If your tube ends up in the landfill, it is an organic material and will not pollute the planet.

How do I recycle the tube?

Carefully cut open and thoroughly rinse inside the toothpaste tube. Double check there is no trace of toothpaste left behind. Place the toothpaste tube and the cap into the correct recyclable bin. Please check if you have access to TerraCycle, they are the best in class for downstream recycling.

Is the cap recyclable?

Yes, place the cleaned toothpaste cap into the recyclable bin along with the tube.
