At the end of your tube? Follow these 5 simple steps for a sustainable brushing routine!
STEP 1: CUT
When you get to the end of your toothpaste, use scissors to carefully cut across and down the tube.
STEP 2: FOLD
Gently fold open the tube. This will give you access to the toothpaste that remains inside.
STEP 3: SCOOP
Scoop out the residual toothpaste with your toothbrush. There may be a couple of extra brushes worth left inside! Don’t let it go to waste.
STEP 4: WASH
When completely empty, wipe it clean with water and a cloth if needed.
STEP 5: RECYCLE
Check with your local recycling program to see if they accept "tubes and lids" for recycling. If they do, just place it in your recycling bin. If your local recycling program does not accept, you can also look for a recycling program like TerraCycle which specifically collects and recycles toothpaste tubes.
